Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL ETL Specialist with deep domain expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and managing ETL processes using Oracle PL/SQL. This role requires the ability to work with large datasets, create optimized ETL workflows, and apply a strong understanding of business logic to translate complex requirements into efficient database solutions.

As an Oracle PL/SQL ETL Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, optimizing performance and ensuring high-quality data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust ETL workflows using PL/SQL for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from source systems to target databases.
• Optimize complex queries and PL/SQL procedures to ensure high performance and data integrity in ETL processes.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and business rules, ensuring the ETL logic aligns with business needs.
• Implement data validation and quality checks within ETL processes to ensure accurate and reliable data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in the ETL pipeline, including data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and transformation errors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL workflows, including detailed descriptions of transformations, mappings, and data sources.
• Work with data architects and other team members to ensure data models and schemas are optimized for ETL tasks.
• Collaborate with QA teams to test ETL processes and ensure proper integration with target systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate data loads while minimizing downtime or disruptions in business operations.
• Monitor and fine-tune ETL processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, specifically for ETL tasks (2+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of data transformation techniques and methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle database objects (tables, views, indexes, procedures) and the ability to create efficient SQL queries.
• Ability to work with large datasets and implement complex transformation logic using PL/SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for addressing ETL performance issues and data discrepancies.
• Strong domain knowledge in areas such as finance, insurance, etc. , and how data flows through these systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience with batch and real-time ETL processing.
