The Position

The division is looking for a Full Stack Developer (Java) to work as part of its team to be responsible for the development and maintenance of its web-based projects that meet both technical requirements and business objectives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality code that meets functional requirements, is easy to maintain, and provides a positive user experience.
• Partner with other team members to understand, identify, and fix product bugs.
• Provide high level technical support to other team members and customers.
• Solve complex technical issues such as performance bottlenecks, architectural limitations, or user experience challenges.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality standards.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices to contribute effectively to their teams and projects.
• Participate in agile planning and stand-up meetings as necessary.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
  
  

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad resource center offices, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining web applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases
• 3+ years of experience with testing web applications and enterprise software through manual and automated techniques/unit test frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript/Typescript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue
• 3+ years of experience with developing and maintaining REST based APIs.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML 5, CSS3 and jQuery
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in applications efficiently.
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Good understanding of unit tests, performing code reviews, and ensuring the quality and reliability of code.
• Have the ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Must be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in writing quality unit testing to ensure the code quality.
