Title: Staff Medical Officer - Urgent Care Services – CMS

Location: Clifton Medical Services, Aga Khan University Hospital

Introduction

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Medical officer for Day care oncology at Clifton Medical Services. CMS is part of The Aga Khan University Hospital's Outreach Program designed to conveniently provide quality healthcare services to patients closer to where they live and work, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our team of highly qualified, trained, and experienced doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff is equipped to provide compassionate care, diagnosis, and treatment for all our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Strong clinical knowledge across a broad spectrum of medical conditions
  • Proficiency in common procedures (IV cannulation, wound care, catheterization, ECG interpretation, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills with patient, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a busy emergency setting
  • Solid documentation and medical record-keeping skills
  • Understanding of and adherence to infection control practices
  • Proactive in professional development and peer education
  • Emotionally resilient and adaptable to demanding clinical environments
  • Upholds professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years post-MBBS clinical experience in a recognized hospital (>100 beds)
  • OR
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with an additional diploma or MCPS
  • Experience in acute, emergency or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
