We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer / Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports, managing Power BI administration, supporting production environments, and working with Big Data tools such as Apache Spark and Hive. This role also involves managing change and service requests for production deployments and ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports based on business requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end Power BI administrative tasks, including:
  • Deployment using Power BI pipelines, Configuration of cloud data connections and on-premises gateways, Refresh scheduling and access control
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to support Run The Bank (RTB) tasks in a Data Lake environment using: Apache Spark, Hive, Python
  • Handle production deployment activities and coordinate with stakeholders for Change Requests (CRs) and Service Requests (SRs) in compliance with ITSM processes.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Power BI report development and administration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Power BI service, including workspace management, dataflows, and gateways.
  • Experience in production support and issue resolution within a reporting or BI environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Apache Spark, Hive, and Python for data processing.
  • Experience working with Data Lakes and managing RTB tasks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based change and release management processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD in Power BI deployments.
