ENCS Networks is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in routing, switching, and network security, ensuring the integrity and performance of our global network infrastructure. With 5-8 plus years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions across our Pakistan hub and US operations, utilizing advanced routing protocols and cutting-edge security platforms.

Location: Bahria Phase 7 RWP

Time: 6 pm to 3 am (onsite)(night shift)

Key Responsibilities

Routing & Switching

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS across enterprise networks.
  • Implement and maintain Layer 2/3 switching solutions to ensure optimal performance and redundancy.
  • Support network segmentation and traffic engineering for global connectivity.

Network Security

  • Deploy and manage firewalls, including:
  • Palo Alto, FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Cisco ASA, Firepower Management Center (FMC), Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), Nexus, and Junos platforms.
  • Configure IPsec VPNs (active-backup), security policies, NAT, and threat prevention features.
  • Conduct firewall audits, updates, and performance optimization to meet security standards.
  • Implement and support Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, aligning with Cisco ISE deployments.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Utilize monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG to proactively monitor network health, security events, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze logs and alerts to resolve incidents swiftly and mitigate risks.
  • Provide detailed incident reports and recommend improvements.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with IT teams to integrate routing, switching, and security solutions across global sites.
  • Document configurations, processes, and network diagrams for operational continuity.
  • Assist in capacity planning and network upgrades to support business growth.

Required Skills & QualificationsExperience

  • 3-8 years in network engineering with a strong focus on routing, switching, and security.

Technical Expertise

  • Routing & Switching:
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot complex network environments.
  • Security:
  • Expertise in Palo Alto (IPsec, NAT, threat prevention), FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer (VPNs, SD-WAN), Cisco ASA/FMC/FTD (firewall policies, VPNs), Nexus, and Junos.
  • Experience with NAC implementation (Cisco ISE) is a plus.
  • Monitoring:
  • Proficiency in SolarWinds and PRTG for network and security monitoring.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security)
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto)
  • NSE 4/5 (Fortinet)
  • JNCIS-SEC (Juniper)

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving, English communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
