QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Retired from Armed Forces as Brigadier or Civilian with a minimum of 10 years' experience in senior management.
  2. Master's / MBBS / Pharm – D or degree in Healthcare Management / Supply Chain Management.
  3. Over 10 years' experience in Healthcare procurement.
  4. Proven leadership in pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain management, preferably in retail pharmacy, hospitals, or healthcare companies.
  5. Strong negotiation and contract management skills with good knowledge of supplier management, database management, inventory management, ERP, and other office programs.
  6. Expertise in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics.
  7. Understanding of drug regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead the end-to-end Procurement, Warehouse & Supply Chain functions, ensuring smooth movement of goods across the pharmacy network and other business units.
  2. Supervise procurement activities for Pharmacies (including LP & Retail), Warehouse, and bulk supply orders.
  3. Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and supplies.
  4. Develop and implement procurement strategies for MedAsk, including pharmaceuticals and other business needs.
  5. Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  6. Ensure procurement compliance with drug regulations and healthcare standards.
  7. Analyze market trends, pricing, and risks to inform purchasing decisions.
  8. Optimize inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring availability of medicines and supplies.
  9. Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering efficiency and accountability.
  10. Negotiate purchase terms and manage the return of expired medicines.
  11. Manage bulk supply orders through tendering processes.
  12. Oversee all procurement activities from demand forecasting to delivery, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and standards.
  13. Develop KPIs and monitor performance targets.
  14. Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital, government, and market standards.
  15. Recommend and utilize electronic and automated systems for forecasting and demand planning.
  16. Establish quality specifications for medicines purchased.
  17. Support departmental planning aligned with organizational goals.
  18. Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management.
