Job Description
  • Responsible for providing direct patient care throughout the shift in a calm, courteous, and tactful manner.
  • Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals, and making or recommending necessary adjustments in consultation with the treating physician.
  • Assist in resolving patient problems and needs by coordinating with other healthcare providers.
  • Encourage parents or guardians of children to participate in active screening for childhood TB, both in the ward and outpatient settings.
  • Facilitate doctors in maintaining and sharing data with the team, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of consumables such as forms, masks, gloves, etc.
  • Follow doctors' instructions regarding patient care.
  • Arrange proper follow-ups with patients and ensure timely completion of these follow-ups.
  • Assist with patient registration for the Provincial TB Control Program, including recording and documenting the TB registration number.
  • Facilitate patients in obtaining investigations and follow up on their results.
  • Report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors, and any untoward occurrences promptly.
  • Perform delegated patient and non-patient-related tasks as directed by the medical officer.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
