- Responsible for providing direct patient care throughout the shift in a calm, courteous, and tactful manner.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals, and making or recommending necessary adjustments in consultation with the treating physician.
- Assist in resolving patient problems and needs by coordinating with other healthcare providers.
- Encourage parents or guardians of children to participate in active screening for childhood TB, both in the ward and outpatient settings.
- Facilitate doctors in maintaining and sharing data with the team, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure an adequate supply of consumables such as forms, masks, gloves, etc.
- Follow doctors' instructions regarding patient care.
- Arrange proper follow-ups with patients and ensure timely completion of these follow-ups.
- Assist with patient registration for the Provincial TB Control Program, including recording and documenting the TB registration number.
- Facilitate patients in obtaining investigations and follow up on their results.
- Report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors, and any untoward occurrences promptly.
- Perform delegated patient and non-patient-related tasks as directed by the medical officer.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
