Overview

Under the direction of Company management and agricultural experts, support farmers in producing seed that meets PepsiCo standards.

Responsibilities
  • Crop scouting and follow-ups.
  • Provide farm advisory services and assist farmers from sowing through harvesting and handling.
  • Ensure adherence to good agricultural practices on farms producing potatoes for PepsiCo.
  • Monitor crop performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in training and transfer of best practices to farmers in Pakistan.
  • Assist in variety trials, evaluation, and research as required.
  • Develop new areas/geographies for disease-free, quality seed production.
  • Maintain seed and chip stock traceability from seed to finished goods as part of the SQA journey.
  • Train field teams and farmers' staff on crop best practices.
  • Utilize agro machinery and field operation solutions for cost-effective quality management.
  • Manage specific potato projects and programs under supervision.
  • Support farmers in improved crop management.
  • Assist the Seed Development Manager (SDM) in AOP volume procurement.
  • Support SDM in potato variety field trials in Pakistan.
  • Conduct farm visits and provide advisory services.
  • Perform field testing, data collection, and handle grower complaints.
  • Provide general advice to growers without brand recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Knowledge / Skills:Experience:Competencies:
  • B.Sc. (Hons.)/M.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture
  • Knowledge of potato growing areas, farmers, and crop management
  • Technical knowledge of pest control
  • Fluent in local languages
  • Computer skills
    • 1-2 years' supervisory experience with pesticide/seed companies or 2-3 years of agro-based field work
      • Collaborates well with others
      • Works against right priorities
      • Perseveres and demonstrates resilience
      • Displays responsible and ethical behavior
