Qualification & Experience:

  1. Bachelor (16 Year) in Engineering / IT and Natural Sciences from HEC recognized institute having minimum 03 years of experience in related field.
  2. Masters (18 Year) in Engineering / IT and Natural Sciences from HEC recognized institute having minimum 05 years of experience in related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for development and maintenance of NUST Research Portal (NRP) with special emphasis on the following activities:
  • Maintenance & Further Development of research publications database.
  • Maintenance & Further Development of research conferences database.
  • Maintenance & Further Development of editorial activities database.
  • Maintenance & Further Development of workflows of the above for accurate AAR record keeping.
  • Maintenance & Further Development of workflows of the above for report generation and graphics.
  • Maintenance & Further Development of analytics and dashboards for all strategic and operational levels of NUST officers and faculty.
Responsible for NUST Conferences / Workshops / Symposiums, including:
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) development and implementation.
  • Harmony with funding agency policies including HEC, PSF, PAS, etc.
  • Processing all internal conferences cases.
  • Processing all cases for reimbursement of funds from HEC, PSF, PAS, etc.
Responsible for preparing reports and analyses pertaining to research publications for assistance in decision making as well as visibility for stakeholders using Web of Science, Scopus and other research databases.Responsible for resolving day-to-day queries and issues of faculty members pertaining to research publications and conferences.Providing support in all kinds of cases of Research Dte (Publications Section) including:
  • Sponsorship of research visit abroad for paper presentation.
  • Sponsorship of NUST sponsorship for conference organizing.
  • Financial awards for paper publication, etc.
Liaison with research funding agencies and attending their various events to stay abreast with latest developments occurring in and outside Pakistan for the overall benefit of the research community at NUST.Submission of reports and data to Senate, Ministries, Government stakeholders.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Computer literacy with possible advanced MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  2. Experience in office management tools and software.
  3. Experience in data analysis to informed decision-making, planning, and performance and monitoring.
  4. Have published a full-length article in an international journal.
  5. Strong communication skills; in English oral, written and presentation skills.
  6. Strong knowledge of research management system & publication life cycle.
  7. Strong management skills (Managing, motivating, and developing staff).
  8. Experience in a research lab or in an industry.
  9. Knowledge of one or more programming languages or database will be plus point.
  10. Knowledge of United Nations SDGs.

Terms & Conditions:

  3. Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
  • 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
  • NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
  • In process of pursuing a required degree.
  • Medically unfit.
  • Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
  • Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
