Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Continuously monitor network performance and system health using NOC tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, latency, and performance issues.
  • Respond to incidents, system alerts, and outages to minimize downtime.
  • Systems Administration
  • Maintain and administer Windows and Linux-based servers.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Optimize server performance and ensure availability of critical applications.
  • Linux Administration
  • Manage Linux-based servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor system logs, automate tasks using shell scripting, and troubleshoot Linux-related issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Implement network and system security best practices.
  • Ensure firewall configurations, VPN setups, and access controls are properly managed.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and mitigate potential risks.
  • Documentation & Support
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, incidents, and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and assist in IT projects.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in NOC operations, Systems Administration, and Linux Administration.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP).
  • Proficiency in Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana, etc.).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.
