Job Summary

A manufacturing professional with strong technical expertise and analytical skills is needed to support site operations, optimize processes, and improve productivity. Key responsibilities will include providing technical support, solving process issues, and leading cost-out initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce production costs, scrap, and set-up time.
  • Productivity Improvement: Focus on initiatives that improve productivity and support quality enhancements, while increasing throughput production capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Problem Solving: Solve process issues associated with process equipment and/or product performance.
  • Safety Initiatives: Support safety initiatives, programs, and daily requirements.
  • Marketing and Product Development: Support Marketing and Product Development/BO teams during new product communications.
  • Cost-Out Initiatives: Lead cost-out initiatives on specific products to lower cost by maintaining the same level of quality, thus improving margins on the products.
  • Evaluations and Operating Parameters: Conduct process and equipment evaluations and develop operating parameters.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain a network of reputable vendors/suppliers and drive facility-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process Optimization DOE's: Conduct process optimization DOE's in order to increase line speeds, decrease changeover times, and improve product yields.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership for production by creating a motivating environment for team members to meet and exceed facility goals for safety, service, quality, productivity, cost, and inventory control targets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate and partner with technical and support resources in resolving problems and developing improved manufacturing and support processes through lean sigma tools.
  • Corrective Action Plans: Participate in investigation and implementation of corrective action plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Strong quantitative, analytical capability, and statistical analysis skills with a data driven focus.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail & organizational skills.
