Agile Product Owner/Technical Business Analyst

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Product Owner/Technical Business Analyst to join our team, working with a leading Automotive Showroom Enquiry Management System serving clients globally. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business analysis, a deep understanding of the automotive sector, and the ability to manage and deliver complex Agile projects from inception to completion.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to analyse business needs, create critical Agile artefacts, run Agile ceremonies, and support delivery throughout the project lifecycle as a product owner and technical business analyst. Proficiency in JIRA is highly essential. Automotive industry expertise is preferred. Experience working with public cloud-based enterprise data transform and load products and services (e.g., Mulesoft, SnapLogic, Boomi, Kafka) is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Analysis Projects:
   • Drive and manage complex analysis initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
   • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate requirements.
   • Analyse relational databases and web APIs.
   • Produce all standard Agile delivery artefacts, including user stories, process flows, wireframes, acceptance criteria, and business rules documentation.
2. Project Lifecycle Support:
   • Collaborate with delivery teams to support the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning to testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
   • Lead estimation sessions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives as a Product Owner, ensuring smooth delivery.
3. Business Process Mapping:
   • Conduct detailed analysis and documentation of automotive business processes, focusing on areas such as DMS and integration workflows.
   • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
4. Integration Analysis:
   • Analyse and document system integration requirements and dependencies between Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and other platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system performance.
   • Work with engineering teams to understand technical aspects when specifying requirements.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, facilitating clear communication of objectives and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Agile Product Owner and Technical Business Analyst, especially in complex Agile environments, including documenting business requirements and managing software projects using Agile methodologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing Business Processes, translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) with hands-on experience delivering SaaS, Web, and mobile applications.
• Proficient in JIRA for Agile project management, including creating Epics, Stories, Tasks, etc.
• Proven automotive sector experience, particularly with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and integrations.
• Experience with cloud-based data transformation and load products (e.g., Mulesoft, SnapLogic, Boomi, Kafka) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, global team environment.
• Strong analytical and systems analysis skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's or relevant certifications are desirable.
