Job Title: Senior Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC Technician

Job Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

Eligibility/Clearance: Top Secret Clearance required. This contract supports a government contract.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC Technician to perform skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of the facilities' HVAC systems for the US in Islamabad, Pakistan. This includes all facilities on the New Embassy Compound/New Consulate Compound (NEC/NCC), such as office buildings, grounds, outbuildings, ancillary structures, and residential properties.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  1. Monitor the performance of heating, cooling, and related systems by interpreting alarms and temperature/pressure differentials, troubleshoot problems, and make adjustments as necessary. Perform preventive maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations and the facilities' CMMS.
  2. Maintain accurate records of building systems and equipment, ensuring sufficient spare parts and materials are in stock.
  3. Inspect and test elements of facilities systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
  4. Ensure proper operation of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, and compressors.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance to maintain systems at prescribed standards.
  6. Troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs using hand tools and testing devices.
  7. Provide detailed estimates of repair or replacement costs beyond capability.
  8. Repair existing systems according to work orders or instructions, developing plans and assembling materials as needed.
  9. Work Monday through Saturday.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of five (5) years of mechanical experience with overseas HVAC systems.
  2. Experience in installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
  3. Experience working with 100-ton chillers or larger, and large air-handling units.
  4. Valid driver's license and ability to maintain it.
  5. Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations.
  6. Ability to manage critical, time-sensitive projects.
  7. Effective communication skills.
Education:
  1. Secondary school completion required.
  2. Graduate of an accredited program providing HVAC Journeyman training, with hands-on experience within the last 8 years, or hold a valid Master license.
  3. Current EPA-approved CFC Universal certification for refrigerants.
  4. Coursework in HVAC principles, system design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and refrigerants required.
