Roles and Responsibilities

Project Analysis and Implementation

  1. Understand project objectives, be able to conceptually frame research questions and problem statements, and propose research methodologies and project designs to meet those objectives.
  2. Provide qualitative and quantitative data analysis across a range of subjects.
  3. Support systematic literature review processes, source data, and information on relevant technical and policy issues, and effectively summarize findings.
  4. Independently and accurately identify published data and reports from sources to support project analyses, maintaining knowledge of such resources to support project efforts and business development.
  5. Conduct basic quantitative analyses across topics such as health financing, health expenditures, epidemiology, and cost-benefit analyses using tools like Excel and Stata.
  6. Develop primary data collection instruments for country research studies, such as surveys and semi-structured interview guides; pre-plan analytic methods to inform data collection design; develop and maintain Excel workbooks for data repository, cleaning, and analysis.
  7. Develop and apply strategic thinking to projects to formulate preliminary findings and recommendations for review by technical advisors and the country director.
  8. Draft or revise sections of donor reports and coordinate team input.
  9. Support the development of storyboards, structure, and content from data and findings for PowerPoint slide decks that are logically organized and visually appealing.
  10. Draft correspondence for projects, including meeting agendas, minutes, and notes from technical reviews, client meetings, and workshops.
  11. Represent ThinkWell externally at meetings and events with partners, donors, or stakeholders as needed.
  12. Assist with project administrative and operational tasks, including staff training, communication, organizing meetings and workshops, coordinating travel, and drafting donor correspondence.
  13. Organize and manage version control for project documents to ensure team efficiency and high-quality deliverables.
  14. Support best practices in document and file organization for the team.

Communications

  • Draft or revise sections of donor reports and coordinate team input.
  • Develop storyboards, structure, and content from data and findings for PowerPoint presentations that are organized and visually appealing.
  • Draft project correspondence, including agendas, minutes, and engagement notes.
  • Occasionally represent ThinkWell with external partners, donors, or stakeholders at meetings and events.

Project Administration and Operations

  • Assist with project administrative tasks such as staff training, communication, meeting organization, travel coordination, and donor correspondence.
  • Manage version control for project documents to facilitate team efficiency and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support best practices in document and file organization for the team.
