Why is this role important?

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the services and systems that power SadaPay's products. Your work will ensure that millions of users enjoy fast, secure, and reliable financial experiences every day. You'll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to solve complex problems, scale our systems, and deliver features that directly impact our customers.

As a Sadanaut you will:

• Design and build scalable backend systems: Create APIs, services, and data pipelines to support our mobile and web applications.
• Ensure reliability and performance: Optimize system architecture to handle rapid growth and large-scale user activity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, develop, and deploy new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code: Follow best practices in software development, testing, and documentation.
• Own deployment and monitoring: Manage services from development to production, ensuring high availability and quick incident response.
• Improve continuously: Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices to keep our systems modern and efficient.

What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

• 3–5 years of backend development experience, ideally in designing, building, and maintaining production systems.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Proficiency in .NET Core.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Passion for building reliable, secure, and high-performance systems.
• Team-oriented mindset: open to feedback, willing to help others, and collaborative in problem-solving.

Nice to have:

• Experience with other backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
