About Us: Soch Fact Check is a dynamic fact-checking organisation dedicated to identifying, verifying, and countering misinformation and disinformation. We are proud to be the only local organisation in Pakistan that is a member of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and an official partner in Meta's Third-Party Fact-Checking program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Editing Articles: Review and edit articles for factual accuracy, clarity, grammar, and overall quality, ensuring adherence to the organization's editorial guidelines.
• Copy Editing: Perform detailed copy editing to ensure correct language, tone, and style across all published content.
• Coordination: Work closely with the Managing Editor and Associate Editor to meet editorial deadlines and manage the content pipeline.
• Consistency and Accuracy: Ensure consistency in style and formatting across all content while verifying information and sources.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in editing, journalism, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Exceptional command of written English and Urdu.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, style, and factual accuracy.
• Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Cultural Insight: Strong understanding of Pakistan's political and cultural landscape, with the ability to think critically and evaluate political discourse.
• Education: Undergraduate degree in journalism, communication, English, or a related field.
