Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
  2. Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
  3. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
  4. Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist roles.
  5. Supervise tendering procedures and put together proposals.
  6. Manage, supervise, and visit contractors on site, advising on civil engineering issues.
  7. Oversee the work of junior staff or mentor civil engineers throughout the charter ship process.
  8. Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues, architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers, and clients.
