Job Overview:
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the movement of freight for trucking carriers associated with Amazon Relay. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing the flow of trucks, ensuring timely and efficient pickups and deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise during transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Route Planning and Optimization:
    Plan and optimize truck routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
    Utilize Amazon Relay tools and systems to coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries.
  2. Communication:
    Maintain effective communication with trucking carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
    Relay important information, such as route changes or delays, to drivers and carriers promptly.
    Address and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, such as delays, detours, or equipment malfunctions.
    Collaborate with relevant parties to find solutions and keep shipments on schedule.
  3. Data Management:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, routes, and communication with carriers.
    Utilize tracking systems to monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates.
  4. Compliance:
    Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
    Collaborate with carriers to address any compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Performance Monitoring:
    Monitor and report on the performance of carriers and drivers, identifying areas for improvement.
    Collaborate with internal teams to implement strategies for optimizing transportation operations.
Job Specification
  • Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems and routing software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
