This role will primarily be responsible for entire lifecycle of digital products/services for internal users including but not limited to Field Force, Channel, Track & Trace, BSA etc. This role will be responsible to ensure execution on our digital strategy and drive adoption across the organization by identifying opportunities whilst ensuring a continuous focus on farmer centricity. This role helps leaders to understand how digital can drive performance across multiple dimensions by team and by country, highlighting risks & opportunities and fostering best practice sharing. This role will also establish an operating rhythm with the business to ensure our organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives. Frameworks to help structure organization thinking, drive visibility and facilitate alignment will be important and should be used along with clear KPIs and performance tracking.
The Assistant Manager Digital Products will be responsible for implementing Syngenta's Digital Agriculture strategy with focus on leading development and implementation of the digital ecosystem of sales, channel, supply chain and demand generation. This overarching role will cover following broad services:
- Product Development
- Product Operations
- Growth
- Business insights & Data analytics

As the Assistant Manager Digital Products at Syngenta, the role will cover the following responsibilities:
- Leading the overall design and implementation of digital transformation initiatives on an organizational level.
- Active team member while working on the entire life cycle of Digital Products, from conception to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Regular coordination with Digital and IT teams in the APAC region
- Collaborate with design, development, marketing, Channel and sales teams to deliver high-quality digital products.
- Analyze product performance through key metrics and user feedback to inform decisions for product enhancements.
- Creating value delivering digital platforms, including both conventional and digital means to strengthen the grower connect
- Digitizing grower & sales data to develop stronger understanding of grower preferences
- Strengthen engagement with franchises incl. data sharing
- Understanding the digital transformation strategy, facilitating adoption of digital platforms for internal users
- Understanding existing business and be a catalyst in the transformation process.
- Work with IT and ecosystem partnerships teams to design and roll out products and services within the agriculture value chain
- Understanding business requirements, creating scope of work.
- Localization and customization of existing regional and global platforms, Business process digitalization etc.
- Product management for Digital Tools to ensure they properly support the BU Digital Strategy and enable product + offers.
- Close collaboration with the sales team to digitize the field force process.
- Maintenance, Training and roll out of field force and other digital solutions.
- Manage complex cross-functional projects to drive Product + development
- Create digital products to gather, use and effectively use farmers' data and profiles
- Understanding ecosystem partners' products and integrate their offerings and services by embedding or integrating through APIs.
- Create GTM Strategy and ensure its implementation for each Product + Service including clearly defined KPI reflecting potential incremental business value for Syngenta Pakistan
Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

- Knowledge of digital supply chain, distributor and field force solutions.
- Development of digital assets including Websites, Android and iOS applications etc.
- Analytics' knowledge: google analytics, firebase, etc.
- Relevant academic degree and/or appropriate professional qualification
- Deep knowledge of product development, operations growth, BI and Data analytics
- Deep knowledge of project / program management, business process management or comparable methodologies
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
The technical or professional capabilities that are required to perform the role effectively. These may be very specific technical skills relating to the nature of the work (e.g. project planning), language skills and personal skills specific for the role (e.g. the ability to assess & resolve conflict, the ability to influence and gain support, the ability to manage diversity, the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, the ability to simplify and see trends in complex information and data, the ability to handle pressure and remain cool-headed, the ability to develop a strategy and agenda for change, tenacity in the face of opposition, etc).
- Solid business acumen with experience in agtech, agriculture or related fields are preferred
- Proven record of change management
- Strong willingness to stay close to our growers
- Passion for digital transformation and data driven approach to agriculture
- Deep knowledge of Precision / Decision Agriculture at the grower level
- Demonstrated ability to Lead team
- Strong customer (grower & channel) orientation as demonstrated
The type and minimum length of relevant experience required to effectively perform in the role. This includes familiarity with particular processes or systems, dealing with certain products or services, and/or the experience of dealing with others–both internally and externally, on-the-job-experience.
- 2 to 3 years in digital product management and growth
- Experience of at least 1 year in Digital agriculture or AgriTech.
- Experience with channel solutions and field force is a plus
- Change management and transformation experience
- Business Analytical and Planning skills
- Any experience of creating digital products for Pakistan's rural audience will be considered valuable.
