Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Good clinical knowledge in emergency medicine. He/she should possess good communication and soft skills. Additional benefit to those who have valid certification of BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.

TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead a "quality team" of medical and nursing staff.
  • Work towards ensuring quality care service delivery in A&E.
  • Supervise and direct the medical officers/senior medical officers on clinical issues regarding patient care.
  • Make decisions in crises and resolve issues timely.
  • Communicate with the A&E regarding management-related issues, especially during the night shift.
  • Report important and urgent clinical issues to the A&E clinical head.
  • Liaise with medical and non-medical staff within the department and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure implementation of administrative/clinical policies and SOPs.
  • Provide medical support to team members to facilitate quick management of patients.
  • Documentation of patient medical information is mandatory on HIMS.
  • Proper handover of the patient at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a professional and polite doctor-patient approach at all times to understand patients' problems.
  • Adhere to proper dress code as per human resources guidelines.
