We are seeking a hands-on, experienced, and highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (Laravel PHP Developer) to join our team. The ideal candidate must have worked on SaaS products and possess practical experience with Inertia.js. You will be responsible for leading backend development efforts of our SaaS platforms using Laravel, collaborating closely with frontend developers (React + Inertia.js), optimizing system performance, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and production environments.

This role is highly hands-on and suited for a developer deeply involved in backend architecture, but also capable of working across the full stack in collaboration with the front-end team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead backend development of SaaS applications using the Laravel PHP framework.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers using Inertia.js and React to deliver seamless full-stack features.
  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable application architectures.
  • Optimize backend systems through job queues, batching, caching, and background processes.
  • Manage and optimize relational databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Handle version control workflows: git branching, pull requests, code reviews.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Oversee application deployments to staging and production servers.
  • Ensure server security, uptime, and performance monitoring.
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce clean code and best development practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a Senior Laravel PHP Developer.
  • Hands-on experience developing and scaling SaaS applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Inertia.js and integration with Laravel and React.
  • Solid experience with Laravel's advanced features: queues, jobs, events, batching.
  • Strong command of relational databases and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative code development.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD automation and versioned deployments.
  • Experience managing production and staging server environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying apps on AWS, Cloudways, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration tools.
  • Prior experience in mentoring or onboarding junior developers in agile teams.
