Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

  • Sr Executive Power Planning will be a subject matter expert in Cell Sites Power Planning domain and will be responsible for the detailed Technical & Budget Planning of Power Systems required for New Sites, Expansions & Operational sites based on the multiple load & load-shedding profiles, state of the art technologies and end to end total cost of ownership analysis.
  • This position collaborates closely with the business partners, Technical Teams to prioritize and manage the end to end design & cost pipeline for power system; and with network deployment and construction teams to prioritize the deployment pipeline and assign resources to meet the associated requirements in power domain.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Detailed technical evaluation of the Power Systems requirement in CMPAK network.
  • Budgeting & CAPEX evaluation for Cell Sites Power Domain, PR & PO Process Management, Invoice Verification and Investment Capitalization.
  • Prepare the RFPs, Perform Technical Evaluations, support in Contracting & Delivery Management for Rectifier Systems, Battery Banks, Cabinets, Solar & other Energy / Power Systems and DG Procurement for cell sites.
  • Assist in power mapping & design finalization for New Physical Sites, USF Projects, RAN Expansions, Power TXN Upgrades and for the operational network Power upgrades/swap for availability improvement.
  • Conduct regular trials to explore Power Products with advanced features.
  • Analyze & perform post evaluations of installed power systems and power systems upgrade where required to meet KPIs.
  • Maintain Power Systems database, Network Availability databases and PR/PO & delivery trackers.
  • Provide regular support to NOMC, Regions, RAN and Transmission teams for the ongoing project & power systems upgrades.
  • Keep end to end inventory management for Power Systems, reusability and disposal plans for offloaded inventory.
  • Implement the mid term & long term strategy in the field of Cell Sites Power Planning.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Power Engineering from a reputable institute

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience is required

  • An Expert in Power Products related to Telecom including renewable energies.
  • Field proven experience of BTS Power Systems planning & operation/maintenance.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Cell Sites Power planning principles, tools and techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of Project Cost Planning, CAPEX & OPEX Budget Estimation, Bill Of Material Preparation & Audits.
  • Analyze complex situations and come up with effective solutions to problems.
  • Influence, negotiate and gain commitment from various stakeholders to ensure movement towards organizational goals.
