Job Purpose: The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Job Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and procurement contracts.
• Ensure contracts comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including PECA and international best practices.
• Provide legal support and guidance to various internal departments regarding contract terms and risk management.
• Liaise with internal / external stakeholders, including vendors, to resolve contract-related disputes, clauses negotiation or other issues.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard contract templates and procedures.
• Conduct legal research on contract law and relevant legal developments.
• Ensure timely contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as required.
• Draft legal documents, including but not limited to Show Cause Notices, Replies, regulatory affairs, Circulars, Warning Notices, and Penalty Notices.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly contract status reports.
  
  

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

• LL.B (required); LL.M or any other postgraduate legal qualification (preferred).
  
  

Work Experience

• 3 years of relevant experience in contract law, commercial transactions or corporate legal roles.
• Experience within the telecom/IT sector is a plus.
  
  

Skills - Generic:

• LL.B or equivalent legal qualification, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in contract law.
• Solid understanding of Pakistani laws and international best practices in contract management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple contracts and deadlines. Ability to work independently and manage contract-related projects.
  
  

Skills - Job Specific:

• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial laws in Pakistan.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to interpret legal language and advise on risks.
• Proficient in understanding and applying international contract law principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Special Requirement

• Membership in relevant legal bodies (e.g., Provincial Bar Councils, Pakistan Bar Council, High Court license) is preferred.
• This role may require occasional travel.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills for summarizing legal positions and contract summaries.
• Excellent report writing skills, with a focus on clear, concise communication of complex legal issues.
