Overview

Riphah International University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant in Software Engineering or Computer Science. This position is designed for individuals pursuing their MS degree and is ideal for candidates interested in engaging in research projects under the guidance of a Principal Investigator (PI). The Research Assistant will support various research initiatives, handle and analyze data, and enhance their academic experience. The initial employment period is one year, starting with a two-month probationary period, with potential for extension based on performance and project funding. Candidates with prior research experience are encouraged to apply, particularly those looking to collaborate closely with the PI on their Masters work.

Location: Johar Town, Punjab, Pakistan; Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of research projects in Software Engineering and Computer Science, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant information and insights for research process and methodology.
  • Collect, document, and analyze data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the preparation of research papers and reports, contributing to writing by integrating data and findings while adhering to academic standards.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Principal Investigator and research team, providing progress updates and discussing challenges.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and students to foster a productive research environment.
  • Maintain organization of research materials and data sets for ongoing and future reference.
  • Adhere to all ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements related to research practices, maintaining integrity of the research process.
Qualifications
  • MS in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 Year.
  • Salary Range: PKR 10,000 to 10,000/Month.
