Senior Systems Engineer - Remote

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide level one helpdesk support for IT including software, hardware, and network issues.
  2. Troubleshoot software, patch, and configuration issues in a Windows 10 environment.
  3. Replace/upgrade client and server hardware.
  4. Responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Windows-based system hardware and software.
  5. Manage Active Directory users and devices.
  6. Manage Office 365 users and configuration.
  7. Define advanced troubleshooting techniques to quickly isolate and resolve reported infrastructure issues.
  8. Provide IT operations support, including collecting and reporting performance data, outage data, review of error logs and backup logs.
  9. Assist in the implementation and documentation of best practices in infrastructure maintenance and support.
  10. Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
  11. Integrate company's systems with corporate infrastructure (Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 upgrade).
  12. Provide out-of-the-box SharePoint Online functionality and administration with minor custom configuration.
  13. Analyze user and business productivity requirements and translate these into the appropriate Microsoft 365 Services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint Team Sites, One Drive for Business).
  14. Lead, deliver, and champion O365 service adoption projects.
  15. Work with tenant-level administrators to resolve customer issues.
  16. Conduct user training for commonly used O365 productivity services.
  17. Ensure utilizing best practices during both design and deployment.
  18. Communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner and troubleshoot problems.
  19. Strong customer relationship skills and willingness to lead customers through successful challenging projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 7-10 years' experience in software development.
  2. Experience in healthcare is a must.
  3. 7+ years of relevant experience.
  4. Development of ASP.NET/Core web services with RESTful interfaces using JSON.
  5. Asynchronous and multi-threaded application development is a plus.
  6. Solid T-SQL server development (SQL 2012 and up).
  7. Stored procedure, view, and index optimization experience.
  8. Ability to write comprehensive unit tests and document source code both inline and externally.
  9. Experience with Data Analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  10. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  11. Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Understanding of SOA design principles.
  2. Working knowledge of Web APIs.
  3. Experience in the healthcare industry.
  4. Entity framework experience.
  5. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  6. Experience using and maintaining TFS and/or Azure Dev Ops for code management, continuous integration, and software deployment.
  7. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.

Job Specification:

Windows 2012/2016/2019, as well as common technologies used in a Microsoft environment such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies. Familiarity with scripting, VMware vSphere, Azure, WatchGuard or SonicWALL Firewall, Symantec Cloud, VPN, File Server, and permissions is required.
