Job Description
Full-time, permanent remote role with a UK tech company. The editor will handle video content across several brands and work directly with the founder.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form reels for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
- Edit face-to-camera and talking-head videos.
- Edit full podcast episodes and cut them into short clips.
- Create simple motion graphics and app animations in After Effects.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, with at least 4 hours overlapping UK working hours. Morning shift.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid test edit.
Job Specification
- 3+ years of editing experience.
- Strong short-form editing skills, including hooks, captions, pacing and sound.
- Confident use of professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve; Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects are required for this role.
- Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, continuity, shot selection and visual storytelling.
- Ability to clean and balance audio, select suitable music, and synchronise sound with picture.
- Working knowledge of titles, captions, transitions, basic motion graphics and colour correction.
- Ability to export video in suitable formats, resolutions and aspect ratios for digital platforms.
- Organised media and project-file management, including backups and clear version control.
- Good English; good written communication, responsiveness to feedback and reliable deadline management in a remote workflow.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating completed video-editing projects.
