Overview

Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: DHA Phase 5, Lahore

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years

Working Hours: 6:00pm to 3:00am

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level applications and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and database management, with strong knowledge of modern development practices. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead complex projects, and mentor junior developers while ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • API Development & Integration: Build and optimize RESTful and SOAP APIs; integrate third-party services and ensure secure communication between systems.
  • Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize schemas, queries, and stored procedures in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
  • System Performance & Scalability: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for scalability and reliability.
  • Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code; perform code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Deployment & CI/CD: Implement automated testing (JUnit, TestNG) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver business solutions; mentor junior developers.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Analyze technical challenges, recommend innovative solutions, and contribute to architectural improvements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Java Developer; strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security); proven experience in building and maintaining enterprise-scale backend systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles; strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and query optimization; familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.); Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); strong knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
