We are now looking to expand our Taste & Wellbeing Sales Operations team for the Middle East region and hire an additional Lab Assistant to provide more intimate care for our increasing customer base in the region. You will manage the daily Taste & Wellbeing lab work and work closely with application technologists. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining the lab, working on customer projects, handling samples, and assisting your manager.

Based in our Karachi office and reporting to the Taste & Wellbeing Country Manager for Pakistan, you will join a passionate, diverse, and winning team supporting our continued success. The role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development. This is an open contract role for 1 year to start with, working 5 days a week. Your monthly payroll will be processed by a third-party partner. The contract may be extended based on business needs, with potential to become a permanent role.

In this exciting role, you will:

Support to application technologist:

  • Manage administrative tasks of lab work, including handling projects and sample requests from initiation to submission.
  • Support the team for all customer events.
  • Manage inventory control of raw materials and flavor library.
  • Maintain and clean the lab according to EHS and company guidelines.

Service our customers:

  • Respond to inquiries using system knowledge, creative investigation, and follow-up.
  • Provide the business team with information on customer requests, insights, and communications.
  • Support Key Account Managers in delivering to customers.
  • Analyze data to identify meaningful insights.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Create clear reports and presentations.

Improve the bottom line:

  • Coordinate and update reports and tracking tools.
  • Maintain data accuracy and manage timelines.
  • Create dashboards and support project management and data reporting.

You?

Your professional profile includes:

  • Food Technology degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a lab support role within multicultural environments in food sectors.
  • Experience in bakery & confectionery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lab equipment and accessories.
  • Working knowledge of ERPs like SAP is advantageous.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Good team player and comfortable with diversity.
