Job Objective:

As a QA Engineer, you will work on a range of applications across AWS cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on both web-based applications and AI-driven solutions. Your role will be integral to ensuring the highest quality of our client/server platforms and delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform manual and automated software testing to ensure the quality of client/server and web-based applications, as well as emerging AI-driven applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and validate technical requirements, specifications, and design documents.
  3. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, covering smoke, regression, functional, user acceptance, deployment, and other testing aspects for both AI and web applications.
  4. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, collaborating closely with the Dev and QA teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  5. Execute manual test scripts, track results, and maintain a detailed record of test activities and defects using JIRA.
  6. Identify, report, and track defects and issues, ensuring proper steps to reproduce are documented with clarity and accuracy.
  7. Ensure proper test coverage and identify areas of potential risk in both traditional web applications and AI models.
  8. Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of testing processes, ensuring they align with client needs and project goals.
  9. Engage in continuous learning to keep pace with new technologies in AI, cloud solutions, and evolving testing methodologies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with hands-on experience in both frontend and backend testing.
  3. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, particularly in AI and cloud-based environments.
  4. Experience with test automation tools and scripting, with a focus on both web apps and AI model testing.
  5. Experience with AWS native services like EC2, RDS, EKS, S3 etc.
  6. Strong ability to create and maintain test plans, test cases, and user stories with high attention to detail.
  7. Experience writing and executing SQL queries to validate backend data.
  8. Demonstrated expertise in bug identification and reporting, including clear and concise steps to reproduce.
  9. Comfortable working within Agile/SCRUM methodologies, with proficiency in JIRA for test case management and defect tracking.
  10. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with an ability to identify and mitigate testing risks.
  11. Basic programming knowledge is a plus (Python preferred).
  12. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  13. Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, often across multiple time zones.
  14. Experience in testing AI-based applications, including knowledge of AI-specific testing methodologies, is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  1. AWS Certifications are highly desirable.
  2. Experience with machine learning models and AI model validation.
  3. Background in DevOps or continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
