About The Role
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you'll work on design projects of significant scope and complexity. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary UX, product management and engineering team to frame user needs and behavior, define optimized user flow, and refine pixels before launch. You'll deliver world-class experiences that make potentially confusing tasks intuitive and manageable, empowering our members to achieve financial independence.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, design managers and engineers
  • Craft beautiful designs and delightful, useful, and usable experiences, leveraging strengths in visual design, interaction, and product design
  • Own design projects from start to finish, leading UX initiatives including design sprints, exploring user problems, content mapping, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, and leading stakeholder reviews
  • Ship valuable and high-quality work without sacrificing speed
  • Build user interface elements using Material Design base components
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how flows function and look
  • Prepare and present rough user flows and wireframes to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and interface elements and build upon them
  • Contribute to our growing design system and UI library to cultivate a coherent look and feel across the Oraan platform
  • Collaborate with product managers, customer support agents and other stakeholders to develop empathy for users and advocate for their needs; use data to inform design decisions
  • Work with engineers, product managers, product researchers, and front-end developers to explore, build and ship designs; help others understand the value of design
  • Mentor less-experienced designers, provide feedback, and help the team develop context, decision-making skills, and user empathy

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role in high-tech, payments, e-commerce or SaaS software companies
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Passion for solving product problems while balancing all facets of a user experience (strategy and research, information architecture, interaction design)
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process including design research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals
  • Proficiency in interaction design for mobile and web
  • Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Experience mentoring designers and leading critiques
