QBXNet is a startup incubator from Switzerland with its main business office located in Barcelona, Spain. We collaborate closely with our entrepreneurial clients to make exploratory and exciting projects in web, mobile and AR/VR happen. Our goal is to provide a platform to implement business ideas quickly and with exceptional quality.

For our development hub in Lahore, we are looking for a UI/UX designer with 3-5 years of experience to lead our UI/UX department. Alongside our head of UI/UX in Barcelona, you will be the design spokesperson of QBXNet and will lead the team in Lahore while coordinating on any design issues with our UI/UX head in Barcelona. Your responsibilities will range from creating designs by yourself to communicating design requirements to our development team and guiding them through relevant processes, as well as coming up with design ideas for client projects in a short period of time.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Define and evangelize the design process throughout the organization
  2. Cultivate an active debate about what makes for great user-centric designs
  3. Shape the environment that attracts thoughtful and creative people
  4. Ensure that UX Design resources are correctly aligned with company goals
  5. Ensure strong internal communication flow
  6. Keep up with relevant industry trends and apply new ideas as appropriate
  7. Collaborate with engineering, project, and general managers to define initiatives and projects
  8. Advocate for the Customer
  9. Foster a healthy team environment that enables productivity and high quality of work
  10. Set the example for work ethic, motivation, and overall culture
  11. Provide mechanisms for career growth of the team members, i.e., professional development and training
Requirements
  1. An extensive background creating interfaces, large-scale websites, or applications
  2. Experience leading interdisciplinary teams that create products with a focus on innovation and usability
  3. Ability to anticipate needs, concerns, and input from teammates across departments
  4. Experience interacting with senior clients and handling them in every imaginable situation
  5. Engaging presentation style and visual communication skills
  6. Openness to feedback and criticism while knowing when to defend design choices
Your Profile
  1. Excited about the work and able to spread that enthusiasm
  2. Think from the user's perspective, and strive for delivering outstanding quality
  3. Innovative, creative, able to work well at the head of a team and become the owner of your workstream(s)
  4. BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
