The incumbent will be responsible for managing all procurement operational activities related to raw materials and excipients, trading goods. The scope of this role covers from issuing of orders till material approval from QC, follow up for deliveries, sourcing of raw materials and its approval for order placing. Build and maintaining a strong working relationship with Internal and External customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing activities track and report key functional matrices to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Evaluate supply agreement, and quality contracts to ensure quality and timely deliveries materials according to the requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop reports for Inventory management, new product development and ordering system.
  • Keep a close look on Imports H.S Code, SROs for imports clearance, and deal with banks for timely establishment of LCs, release of original shipping documents and timely imports payments.
  • Liaise between indenters, suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments for timely and cost-effective procurements.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries and record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventories. Establish and update approved manufacturer list, supplier list and improve price list of all raw materials.
  • Review PR to PO process for excipients for existing and new both to maintain good service levels.
  • Review inventory reports, get material released from QC appearing in QC inspection, restricted and blocked stock through debit note to suppliers /insurance claim. Prepare reports of end-to-end Purchase cycle (Tracking of opened PO to LC/BC and payments
  • Manage and resolve problems due to delivery, quality and pricing in timely manner.
  • Monitor supplier performance and report KPI's on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all imports files are maintain in archiving.

Key Requirements

  • Around 8 years of relevant work experience of procurement and imports
  • Sound knowledge on Imports and exports, Opening of LCs, BCs and open account payments with bank.
  • SAP or any ERP experience in Materials management / Procurement module.
  • The candidate must have good communication skills, and good networking skills.
