Position: Head of Yarn Procurement for Socks (HOD)

Department: Planning & Procurement

About the Role:

A reputable company of Pakistan is seeking a seasoned Head of Yarn Procurement to lead their sourcing operations with a focus on high-end yarns. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong vendor networks, and a sharp eye for imported fancy yarns including polyester, nylon, and specialty blends.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the yarn procurement team for optimal performance and cost-efficiency

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international yarn suppliers

Plan procurement cycles in sync with production demands and forecasting

Ensure timely availability of imported fancy yarns including polyester and nylon

Monitor global yarn markets for trends, pricing, and supply chain risks

Negotiate contracts with suppliers for best price, quality, and delivery terms

Work closely with the Planning and Production teams to streamline procurement

Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier performance reports

Requirements:

Experience in the socks industry is a MUST

Proven experience in yarn procurement in socks or textile industry

Strong knowledge of fancy yarns, imported yarns, polyester, nylon, and technical specifications

Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills

Ability to manage procurement planning under tight timelines

Strong grip on ERP systems and procurement software

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience
