Senior Assistant, Student Finance

Job Role / Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate with students for timely recovery of loans and fees.
  2. Charge fees to respective programs and coordinate with program coordinators for enrollment (full-time and part-time).
  3. Circulate monthly loan reminders to alumni and follow up on payment plans.
  4. Prepare and monitor monthly schedules for fees and loans.
  5. Prepare invoices for agencies and institutions.
  6. Respond to queries received via email daily and monitor unanswered email status.
  7. Provide clearance to employees against exit checklists, noting outstanding amounts in the system.
  8. Record bad debts related to student fees and loans for students and alumni.
  9. Create and record annual administrative charges on student loans in AKUROSS at year-end.
  10. Calculate amounts owed by alumni against contract breaches.
  11. Record daily online payments received in the bank and liaise with the treasury department for bank reconciliation.
  12. Prepare supplier and payment documents for applicants and student refunds.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree.
  • Work experience in dealing with students or as a recent graduate is preferred.
  • Willingness to work diligently with dedication and sincerity.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Desire to take on challenges.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office; intermediate proficiency in Excel.
