Job Description

Under the supervision of the Finance Coordinator and with support from the Manager of Grants, the Finance Officer will oversee finance management processes, reporting, and documentation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing timely and quality program and donor reports on project activities, ensuring compliance with donor (TGF) and organizational requirements.
  • Liaising with administration, HR, and program departments to address underspending and overspending issues, devising plans to address them.
  • Tracking budget expenditures and commitments in line with approved plans for the organization and partners.
  • Facilitating grant reviews and closure meetings, and following up on action points.
  • Conducting partner visits and monitoring grant progress to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations for IPC program accounts.
  • Following up on Mobicash disbursements and monthly reconciliations of uncollected advances.
  • Assisting in safeguarding organizational assets through internal controls and audits.
  • Verifying assets in FAR with insurance listings.
  • Coordinating external and internal audits and responding to management audit letters.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintaining proper filing of all financial documents and vouchers.
