Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and driven **Technical Sales Representative** to join our team in the **IT Professional Services and Managed Service Provider (MSP)** sector. This role is pivotal in connecting clients with cutting-edge technology solutions tailored to their unique business needs. The ideal candidate will possess both technical acumen and sales expertise, with a passion for delivering value through customized IT services such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities within the IT Professional Services and MSP space.
- Conduct detailed consultations and needs assessments to understand client requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and solution discussions.
- Maintain consistent client communication to strengthen trust and loyalty.
- Research and identify potential clients through industry tools and platforms.
- Initiate cold calls, outreach emails, and virtual/in-person consultations.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns.
- Deliver tailored IT solutions that align with client goals and address key pain points.
- Develop and present proposals covering services like cloud, cybersecurity, and managed IT support.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business benefits for decision-makers.
- Conduct personalized product and service demos using technical tools and software.
- Respond to client queries with clarity, precision, and confidence.
- Ensure client understanding of proposed solutions during sales presentations.
- Coordinate with technical, project, and product development teams to validate and deliver client solutions.
- Provide feedback and insights to marketing and R\&D for product and campaign improvements.
- Align sales efforts with delivery timelines and technical capabilities.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring accuracy of technical details and service scopes.
- Close deals efficiently while ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure smooth handoff to support and service teams.
- Follow up with clients post-deployment to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Proactively introduce new services and upgrades to promote long-term engagement.
- Cybersecurity (firewalls, threat management, encryption)
- Networking and infrastructure solutions
- IT consulting methodologies and best practices
- Software/hardware integration and managed services models
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (technical certifications preferred).
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in IT Services or MSPs.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and productivity software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build client relationships and manage long sales cycles.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Solutions Expert
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect
