The Position

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows server operating systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts.
  • Ensure user access privileges align with security policies.
  • Assist in applying system patches and updates in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with senior administrators to ensure system security and compliance.
  • Participate in the development and testing of backup and recovery procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of disaster recovery plans.
  • Monitor system logs and alerts, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Generate reports on system performance and security.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of system documentation, including configurations and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Windows server administration and system management.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, etc.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Exposure to scripting languages (PowerShell, batch scripting).
