Job Specification
  • Report, pitch, and produce daily and long-form news stories for the nightly TV show Evening Edition. Take the story assignment and research topic, set up field interviews, work with videographer to gather sound and video, write script that works for TV and radio, and provide editor with script and VO on a strict daily deadline. Write web story for Rassai Tv.
  • Deliver daily newscast on Evening Edition as anchor. Edit and write scripts. Pre-read stories and headlines. Produce news briefs and deliver newscast accurately. Prepare for reporter debriefs by reviewing their stories and checking in with them in advance about the focus of the interview. Meet multiple daily deadlines and work efficiently.
  • The Anchor/reporter, at the direction of the Director of News and Editorial Strategy, will follow the Rassai tv Strategic Plan and uphold Rassai news standards for quality and ethics.
  • Reads and follows major developments on general stories, and especially on issues s/he has covered in the past
  • Maintains diverse contact lists and files for on-going continuity of coverage and accumulation of knowledge
  • Brainstorms story ideas with reporters, supervisor, producers and digital team.
