Deputy Manager

1. To ensure, on an ongoing basis, that equipment and infrastructure are kept in good working condition.
2. To ensure prompt emergency repair of equipment and infrastructure to secure the best possible availability for production.
3. To plan, schedule, and execute the preventive maintenance program of plant & equipment.
4. To control the inventory of spare parts to an optimum level.
5. To enhance productivity of existing equipment or production capacity through the study of modifications, extensions, or new low-cost equipment.
6. To ensure correct operation of equipment for production and for the distribution of utilities such as electricity, air, and water.
7. To advise plant management as well as production, purchasing, and R&D departments in the field of acquisition, installation, and operation of machinery and spare parts.
8. To ensure environmental protection.
9. To train and motivate the workforce to prepare for each and every job whenever required.
10. To assign areas and responsibilities to subordinates, monitor their performance, and provide guidelines where necessary.
11. To clarify department objectives and their relationship with the overall company's objectives and convey the same to the subordinates.
12. To promote constructive discipline and working harmony in the department.
13. To communicate management instructions/policies to the staff under him.
14. To appraise performance/recommendation of the subordinates under him.
15. To ensure strict compliance with safety rules by all concerned in his department.
16. To approve leaves and authorize overtime as per company's rules.
17. To maintain liaison with other divisions/departments for smooth and efficient working of the company.
18. To conduct/organize training of the staff.

Should be a Graduate Engineer in a relevant field with around 10 years of work experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC-based industrial machines, hydraulic and mechanical presses, welding machines, compressors, generators, pumps, etc.

Diploma holders with B-Tech having sound hands-on experience may also be considered.
