About the Role

The role of a Field Production Manager for OP & Hybrid is critical to ensuring the success of Tara Group's seed production operations. This position requires a deep understanding of the agricultural processes involved in producing both open-pollinated (OP) varieties and hybrid seeds, particularly in field crops and vegetables like corn and rice.

The Field Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire seed production lifecycle, from field preparation to the transfer of seeds to the processing plant. This includes managing the planting, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and storage processes, ensuring that the seeds meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

As the Field Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing Production Plans: Create and implement production plans to optimize resources, ensuring that yield and quality targets are consistently met.
• Overseeing Seed Production: Manage the entire lifecycle of seed production for OP varieties of field crops and vegetables. Oversee the production of hybrid seeds, particularly for crops like corn and rice, from initial field preparation through to the final transfer to the processing plant.
• Data Analysis and Optimization: Analyze production data to make informed decisions and implement strategies that enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaboration with R&D Teams: Work closely with research and development teams to stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in seed production.
