About the Position:
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team for a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Finance. They will manage and coordinate all aspects of accounting and will be responsible for conducting high-level analysis of revenue, credit, expenses and overhead. If you are highly detail-oriented and capable of analyzing data with creativity and innovation in mind, we want to hear from you What you'll be working on:

  1. Record and post daily financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
  2. Process and post invoice batches within the sales module, ensuring proper deferral of invoices in GP.
  3. Review Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports and collaborate with the Sales Director to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  4. Handle customer account credits, return memos, and cash receipts, applying payments accurately in GP.
  5. Prepare and issue customer invoices while reconciling monthly invoice activity for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Manage and organize supporting documentation for customer invoices, including contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant materials.
  7. Perform regular reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts.
  8. Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting within set deadlines, ensuring accuracy.
  9. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
  10. Identify and resolve intercompany discrepancies, communicating findings to the accounting team.
  11. Generate and analyze reports from GP and other financial data sources to support various reporting needs.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  2. Finalist / Qualified Professional Accountant or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  3. Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
  4. Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
  5. Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
