The incumbent will support the Head of Corporate Finance in managing Group taxation (including transfer pricing), Statutory Financial Reporting, and Corporate Compliance for multiple jurisdictions. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure optimized tax planning and efficient tax / statutory reporting across the Group.

Responsibilities:

Group taxation and transfer pricing

  • Oversee the preparation and on-time filing of corporate tax returns (multiple jurisdictions involved)
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations (multiple jurisdictions involved)
  • Advise on tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions
  • Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
  • Ensure compliance with OECD Base Erosions and Profit-Sharing framework

Statutory financial reporting

  • Oversee and manage the preparation of unconsolidated and consolidated statutory financial statements of entities
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities
  • Manage in liaising with external auditors to facilitate statutory audits and address audit queries

Corporate Compliance (multiple jurisdictions)

  • Oversee and review the preparation and filing of annual returns
  • Develop and implement internal policies to ensure compliance with international regulations
  • Provide guidance to management on compliance-related issues and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

  • ICAP Certified a MUST
  • Qualified CA / CFA
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance; MBA desirable
  • At least 7 years with a Big 4 Accounting Firm and or a combination with a multinational corporation, with a minimum of 5 years international taxation experience for global multinational corporates (post qualification)
  • Experience with tax planning, statutory reporting and compliance in a multinational environment
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity
  • Strong professional financial / accounting knowledge and expertise in Taxation & Financial Reporting
  • Sound technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with international tax issues for multinational corporations Involvement in preparation of tax provisions for foreign entities under IFRS
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills with the ability to research tax law and apply relevant tax law to fact patterns
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems
  • Possess a high level of adaptability and responsiveness to changing business needs
