We're looking for a talented Senior Unity Developer with strong 2D development experience to join our onsite team. In this role, you'll be responsible for building high-quality 2D games and applications using Unity. You'll collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to bring visually rich and interactive 2D experiences to life. This is a hands-on, creative, and technical role with opportunities for leadership and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of 2D Unity projects from prototype to release.
  • Design and implement core game systems, UI, and animations for 2D gameplay.
  • Collaborate with artists to integrate 2D assets efficiently (sprites, tilemaps, animations).
  • Optimize 2D rendering performance and ensure smooth gameplay across platforms.
  • Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align project goals and deadlines.
  • Debug, test, and maintain applications across multiple devices and screen resolutions.
  • Implement and manage asset workflows, sprite atlases, and animation systems.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional Unity development experience, with a strong emphasis on 2D projects.
  • Proficient in C# and familiar with Unity's 2D toolset (Sprite Renderer, Tilemap, Cinemachine, Animator, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of 2D game mechanics, physics, and animation workflows.
  • Experience creating and managing UI systems using Unity UI Toolkit or uGUI.
  • Knowledge of optimizing 2D games for performance on mobile and other platforms.
  • Solid grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with visual scripting tools like Bolt or Unity Playmaker.
  • Familiarity with 2D skeletal animation tools (e.g., Spine, DragonBones).
  • Knowledge of mobile publishing workflows (iOS, Android).
  • Experience with localization, monetization, and analytics integration.
  • Background in AR/VR or cross-platform development is a plus.
