About The Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. You will lead assigned AI projects, optimize AI models for real-world applications, and work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into production systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to build scalable AI architectures. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, ensuring best practices in LLMs, deep learning, and software engineering. Reporting to the Manager AI, you will be a key contributor in shaping the company's AI strategy and driving innovation.

What will be your responsibilities?

1. Design and implement robust AI/LLM models and algorithms tailored to business needs.
2. Deploy Transformer-based models into production, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
3. Monitor AI model performance, conduct regular evaluations, and retrain models as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
4. Design and implement end-to-end scalable pipelines for AI/ML projects, ensuring seamless data flow and model deployment.
5. Conduct code reviews for junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, clean code, and scalable architectures.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and align AI solutions with business goals.
7. Mentor and guide junior AI engineers and data scientists, sharing knowledge on best practices in machine learning, deep learning, and software engineering.
8. Document AI development processes, model performance metrics, and technical specifications for both internal and external stakeholders.
9. Ensure AI solutions adhere to best practices in software engineering, including unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and load testing.
10. Participate in the design and optimization of microservices architectures and message broker systems to support AI model deployment.
11. Implement data visualization, monitoring, and alerting tools to track AI model performance and system health in production.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, AI, or a related field.
2. 4+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on AI/ML work in production environments.
3. Proven track record of deploying AI solutions and delivering measurable results in high-pressure scenarios.
4. Expertise in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks, with hands-on experience in services like Lambda/Serverless, SQS, SNS, S3, and EC2.
5. Proficiency in deploying Transformer-based models and integrating LLMs with web applications.
6. Strong skills in Git for source control, code review, and repository management.
7. Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns, including Dependency Injection, SOLID principles, and Service Containers.
8. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and managing microservices architectures.
9. Expertise in building highly distributed, eventually consistent AI systems.
10. Familiarity with message broker systems and scalable data pipelines.
11. Strong understanding of machine learning testing methodologies including unit, integration, performance, and load testing.
12. Experience with data visualization, monitoring, and alerting tools to maintain production AI models.
13. Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies like SQLAlchemy.
14. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and effectively mentor junior team members.
