We are seeking a highly skilled and driven AI Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lumunate . This is a full-time position tailored for individuals with strong foundations in AI/ML and real-world experience in building intelligent, scalable systems using advanced technologies.

While this is a junior role, the expectations are high. As an AI Engineer at Lumunate , you will be expected to build production-ready AI systems , not just prototypes. You will work on intelligent agents, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines and advanced orchestration frameworks, integrating cutting-edge AI into real-world products used by businesses across industries.

If you have demonstrable experience in delivering AI-powered tools and are eager to push the boundaries of applied AI, this role will give you the platform to do it.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and deploy AI-powered services and microservices using Python , FastAPI , Flask and related tools.
• Design and implement autonomous AI agents and agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph , or similar orchestration frameworks .
• Build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, using vector databases.
• Evaluate and integrate embedding models (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) for semantic search, document retrieval and vectorization within RAG workflows.
• Work with GPT, Claude, LLaMA and other transformer-based models, applying prompt engineering, fine-tuning and latency/cost optimization techniques.
• Manage data pipelines and embeddings using vector databases like Pinecone, ChromaDB or Weaviate.
• Develop scalable Python-based APIs using FastAPI or Flask to serve AI capabilities to client-facing applications.
• Engineer modular, reusable prompt logic and AI workflows for conversational and multi-agent systems .
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to embed AI features into real-world SaaS platforms .
• Engineer modular, well-structured prompts for advanced conversational and agent-based AI.
• Maintain clean codebases with full documentation, version control, best practices and reproducibility standards.
• Work closely with project managers and clients to align features with business needs.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development.
• Strong proficiency inPython and core AI libraries (transformers, LangChain, etc).
• Proficiency in FastAPI or Flask for backend API development.
• Extensive experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, LLaMA, etc.) and transformer architectures.
• Solid understanding of prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques.
• Practical experience designing and implementing RAG pipelines , including document processing and vector search workflows.
• Familiarity with embedding models and their application within retrieval and semantic search systems.
• Familiarity with LangGraph , OpenAI Tools API , ChatML , or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases : Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, Qdrant, etc.
• Working knowledge of SQL/ NoSQL databases and database schema design.
• Prior experience building AI tools, conversational agents, automation systems or similar SaaS products is highly desirable .
• Hands-on experience with Docker , Git , CI / CDpipelines and web development (especially Node.js) is a plus .
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
