Applications are invited for the following positions under research project no. 20-1620/R&D/10, funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, titled "Extinct Bovids from the Dhok Pathan Formation of the district Chakwal in the Siwaliks of northern Pakistan".

Research Associate
  • Must possess a B.S. (Hons)/M.Sc. in Zoology/Wildlife, preferably from Government College University, Faisalabad.
  • Academic record should include two first divisions and no third division.
  • Preference will be given to M.Phil. scholars from GCUF.
  • Knowledge of paleontology is required.
  • Must not be engaged in any other government or private employment.
  • Contract duration: two years, with a monthly stipend of Rs. 13,000 (lump sum). Additional qualifications will not increase the stipend.
  • Must adhere to GCUF-HEC and provincial employment rules and sign a bond for the project duration.
  • The institute reserves the right to decrease the number of seats.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
  • The institute is not responsible for delays or non-receipt of call letters due to courier or postal issues.
Field Assistant
  • Must possess Matric with Science.
  • Contract duration: two years, with a monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000 (lump sum). Preference will be given to candidates already working in departments of Zoology, Wildlife, and Fisheries, or part-time workers.
  • Must follow GCUF-HEC and provincial employment rules and sign a bond for the project duration.
  • The institute reserves the right to decrease the number of seats.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
  • The institute is not responsible for delays or non-receipt of call letters due to courier or postal issues.
