Job PurposeAs an Assistant Manager/Associate - PMO, you will contribute to our client's success by working with this firm's senior team to maintain and develop all aspects of our client's financial accounting processes and related controls. In addition, you will assist in regulatory reporting, external & internal audits, and financial risk management matters to help our clients meet their regulatory obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project Planning, coordinating, reviewing, and validating documentation with the utmost attention to detail.
    • Being responsible for ensuring all documents/policies are compliant to meet jurisdictional legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Partner with all project execution teams to develop and/or enhance processes to make sure that the clients' needs are met as projects evolve most efficiently and effectively.
    • Apply a consistent approach across businesses, products, and all operating regions.
    • Ensure standards and requirements are met through developing and conducting strict quality assurance tests.
    • Liaise with clients and delivery teams to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
    • Assume responsibility for data integrity and systems management.
    • Apply a consistent approach across businesses, products, and all operating regions.
    • Assist the team with the preparation of regulatory returns and timely submission for clients.
    • Assist the team to meet client external and internal auditor's needs including ledgers, reports, and schedules.
    • Support on client periodic trial balance, balance sheet, and income statement for review by the team.
    • Preparation and processing of financial reports and financial statements for clients in coordination with the team.
    • Assist us to ensure that the j. awan & partners culture and brand are strong, understood, and trusted by our colleagues and our clients.
    • Monitor and drive project progress and be confident in handling any issues that arise.
    • Support the business to attract, train, and retain the best in market talent for its UAE and global presence.

Experience (essential to any successful application)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, etc. is advantageous.
