Job Purpose

The Financial Controller (FC) oversees all financial and accounting operations of the listed entity, reporting to the CFO/Finance Director. The FC ensures a robust Financial Risk Management and Control framework (FRMC) and assists the CFO with statutory, corporate, regulatory, and secretarial compliance both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage overall financial and accounting operations, including risk management, statutory and corporate accounting, and financial reporting.
  2. Prepare and submit data to regulators such as SECP, PSX, CDC, and SBP.
  3. Assist in preparing board presentations and corporate briefings for investors and shareholders.
  4. Ensure timely publication of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the Companies Act.
  5. Implement financial reporting systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  6. Research technical accounting and statutory issues to ensure compliance.
  7. Coordinate with external auditors for audits, providing necessary data timely.
  8. Prepare quarterly profitability templates and assist during reviews with global tax and transfer pricing teams.
  9. Ensure accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions.
  10. Report financial information to the CFO and support senior management with insights and analysis.
  11. Coordinate with internal auditors and ensure accurate monthly reporting in the BISON system.
  12. Oversee monthly management closing, reporting, and analysis.
  13. Provide management with performance and spend visibility through regular reports.
  14. Analyze monthly spend, market sales, and trends.
  15. Review market returns and expiries, collaborating with logistics and commercial teams for improvements.
  16. Lead process improvements and system automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
Skills and Competencies
  • Chartered Accountant / ICAEW with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in financial controlling and reporting, preferably within large or listed companies.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
