Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a wide variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing critical financial support within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Fixed Office Location: This role is based at a fixed office location in DHA Raya, Fairways Commercial.

Fixed Office Timings: 12:30pm to 21:30pm PKT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Reconciling Invoices Against Payments: Ensure that invoices are accurately reconciled with payments to maintain consistent financial records.
  • Updating Ledgers: Update and maintain accurate ledgers for financial transactions and balances.
  • Invoice Creation: Generate and issue invoices in a timely manner for products and services provided.
  • Billings: Manage and track all billing processes to ensure accuracy and prompt payment.
  • Payroll Management: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Auditing of Payments: Regularly audit payments and financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
  • Creating Weekly and Monthly Accounting Reports: Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly accounting reports to track the financial performance of the business.
  • Reporting to Senior Management: Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management, offering insights on financial performance, cash flow, and budget variances.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing necessary financial insights to management.
  • Tax Compliance: Support in the preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
  • Vendor & Client Management: Liaise with vendors and clients regarding payments, invoices, and financial queries.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documents and information are prepared and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Accounting Body: Must be a member of an internationally recognised Accounting Body, such as ACCA or ICAEW.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience working for a multi national corporate firm.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, HubDoc) and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
  • Communication: Fluency in English is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial work.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.
