General Summary:

Qualcomm's Engineering IT EDAAP team is seeking an independent contributor experienced in developing and maintaining enterprise-level software applications.

Experience:

7-10 years of experience in creating dashboards with reporting tools such as Tableau (including Tableau API), Power BI, and OBIEE.

Skills:
  • Expertise in developing visualizations and dashboards with Tableau.
  • Strong SQL knowledge.
  • Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
  • Experience in testing, debugging, and performance tuning of dashboards and reports.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Ability to translate ad hoc report requests into dashboards and application requirements.
  • Knowledge of different types of enterprise systems and their interactions.
  • Understanding of complex data models.
  • Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres databases.
  • Willingness to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ownership mindset and drive to complete tasks.
Desirable:
  • Python programming experience.
  • Experience developing dashboards with Power BI.
  • Exposure to QlikView, OBIEE, and ThoughtSpot.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and relational databases like MySQL or Oracle.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years applying AI and machine learning techniques to real-world solutions.
  • Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
  • Expertise in ML frameworks like PyTorch, Python, and Transformer architectures.
  • Experience deploying large language models and embedding models in production.
  • Knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented and functional programming principles.
  • Strong programming skills in Rust and Python.
  • Experience fine-tuning large language models with custom data.
  • Experience developing generative AI applications and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data preprocessing.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, linear algebra, and probability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields.
  • End-to-end experience with ML/NLP projects from development to deployment.
  • Experience with transformer models like BERT, GPT, T5, Llama.
  • Experience working in distributed teams.
  • Cloud experience (GCP/AWS).
  • Knowledge of Rust is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years in programming, scripting, automation, or IT work with a bachelor's degree, OR
  • 6+ years in similar roles without a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years experience with database structures like MongoDB and MySQL.
